Open Contest SBPRC 2011
“YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW” SBPRC DESIGN COMPETITION
Guideline of participation:
- This competition is open to everyone who is passionate about fashion design above the age of 18 years old as of 6th March 2011.
- All entries must be produced by the participants and not commissioned.
- Participants may choose their category either one or both (Futurama and/or Commercial Creation) are required to state the theme clearly in their Entry Form (please download entry form from www. sbprc2011.blogspot.com)
- All the designs should include organizer’s logo.
Purpose:
- To discover and stimulate creativity of the young generation
- To explore new design talents in Malaysia
- To work with Santa Barbara’s production team and develop new design concept
Prizes:
Futurama Creation Category
Grand Winner : 1 iPad +Trophy + Certificate
2nd Winner : 1 Digital Camera + Trophy + Certificate
3rd Winner : RM200 Cash + RM300 SBPRC Cash Voucher + Trophy + Certificate
Consolation X2 : Watches + Trophy + Certificate
Commercial Creation Category (with total look for seven sub-categories)
Grand Winner : 1 iPad + Trophy + Certificate
2nd Runner : RM300 Cash + RM200 SBPRC Cash Voucher + Certificate
3rd Runner : RM200 Cash + RM100 SBPRC Cash Voucher + Certificate
Consolation X4 : RM50 Cash + RM100 SBPRC Cash Voucher + Certificate
7 Individual Sub-Categories Winners:
RM400 Cash + RM400 SBPRC Cash Voucher + Trophy + Certificate
+ 1 Year or 3 Months Internship (Optional)

Participants must submit the following:
Futurama Creation Category
Sketches of design should include:
· A men's outfit or a full ladies' outfit with optional accessories.
· All artworks should be in A4 clear folder. (E.g. one full men's outfit or a full ladies' outfit).
· All items submitted must be clearly marked / tagged with full personal particular and completed Registration Forms. (please download entry form from www. sbprc2011.blogspot.com)
Commercial Creation Category
Sketches of design should include:
· A full men's outfit or a full ladies' outfit with full accessories. (Apparel Top & Bottom (garments), Shoe, Watch, Socks/Underwear, Handbag, Sun-glass, Luggage / bag)
· All artworks should be in A4 clear folder with different accessories.
· All items submitted must be clearly marked / tagged with full personal particular and completed Registration Forms. (please download entry form from www. sbprc2011.blogspot.com)
- Deadline: Friday, 14th January 2011
- Finalist (successful entrants) will be notified on or before Tuesday, 18th January 2011.
2. Submission of complete set garment
Finalist and licensee interaction
· Finalists will be arranged to meet Santa Barbara’s licensees of all sub categories on 21st January 2011 to present their design in details. · Full garment set should be produced by each finalist with the assistance of relevant licensees.
· Finalist should be responsible for sourcing of material if it is not able to be provided by licensees.
3. Grand Final Presentation
- 12 finalists will be presenting their complete outfit on stage provided by the organizers for the Grand Final presentation which will be held on Sunday, 6th March 2011 at Sunway Pyramid
Terms & Conditions
- Originality: All work submitted must be original. In any event of a claim by a third party that the use of submitted work infringes their rights, participants will indemnify the organizer against any costs, claims, expenses, liabilities or obligations whatsoever related to such a claim.
- The judges' decision is final. No correspondence or disputes will be entertained after judging.
- Notification: While every endeavor will be made to contact all finalists on or before the scheduled dates, the Organizers take no responsibility for failure to successfully contact entrants. Please ensure that all your contact details on the Registration Form are accurate and functional at all times.
- The Organizers shall take due care with all submissions. However, the Organizers shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to submissions upon receipt or in transit.
- Ineligible entrants: Any individual affiliated with the Organizers, organizing committee, the judges, advertising or marketing agencies of the Organizers is not eligible to enter this competition.
- Photographs required: Participants must submit 2 copies of a recent colour 3R photo for use in publicity and marketing materials. Participants' names must be written on the back of their photos.
- In submitting entries for this competition, participants agree that the Organizers may exhibit, publish or otherwise publicize their submitted work.
- All submissions and entries will become the property of INTERASIA & ASSOCIATE (HOLDING) CO., LTD.
- Proof of posting of submissions is not proof of receipt.
- The Organizers reserve the right to change the Schedule of Deadlines for whatever reasons at their absolute discretion.
